Non-serviced vacant land, protect you.

(a) Non-maintained wasteland encourage the proliferation of rats, mosquitoes and other pests and diseases (plague, leptospirosis, chikungunya, dengue, malaria, etc ...)

(b) Non-maintained wasteland also encourages the presence of undesirable persons who may represent a danger to you and your surroundings.

(c) abandoned wastelands also encourage wild dumping.

(d) The owners / occupiers of vacant lots must clean them regularly.

(e) transmit to your District Council the name of the owner / occupier of an unmaintained vacant lot. Report authors wild dumping.

The law provides for a fine of up to Rs 10,000 for the owner / occupant of a vacant lot not maintained.
