La police de Terre Rouge a rapporté l’accident qui a eu lieu le long de l’autoroute à Riche Terre entre une piétonne âgée de 34 ans et une voiture.

Northern Division
1. Terre Rouge Police – Larceny
On 16.05.2012 at 1045 hrs, Mr. S, 57 yrs, Technician at Mauritius telecom reported that on same day at about 0930 hrs, whilst carrying out a survey along Cactus Rd, Morc. Raffray, Terre Rouge, he found that a main hole cover has been stolen. Value stolen unknown. Property of Mauritius Telecom.

2. Terre Rouge Police – Serious Road Accident
On 16.05.2012 at 1800 hrs, whilst Mrs. M, 34 yrs, no calling, residing at Roche Bois was crossing the road along NTR Riche Terre, she was knocked down by a P/Car. She was seriously injured and is admitted to SSRN hospital. The car driver, Mr. B, 30 yrs, Bank Clerk, residing at L’Esperance Piton was negatively alcootested.

3. Abercrombie Police – Larceny with violence
On 16.05.12 at 1030 hrs, Mr. S, 22 yrs, Driver, residing at Vallée Pitot who is admitted to Dr. Jeetoo hospital since 15.05.2012, related to Police that on same day at about 2100 hrs, he was riding his motorcycle at corner Nicolay and Cocoterie Street, when an unknown man hit him with a piece of wood, as a result of which he fell on the road and got injured. Thereupon, latter stole his wallet containing sum of Rs 2,500/-, his gold chain and his mobile phone and bolted. Value stolen about Rs 6,500/-.

Western Division
4. OB 1011/2012 Beau Bassin Police – Homicide
On 16.05.2012 at 1340 hrs, following a request from one Mr. D to the effect that bad smell is emanating from the house of his neighbour at corner Auguste Toussaint and Louis Bastien Silva St, Morc. Avrillon, Beau Bassin, Personnel of Beau Bassin Police proceeded on spot and found the body of Mrs. Marie Murielle Ducray, 76 yrs, in a state of advanced decomposition, wrapped in a bed sheet on a bed. Police Dr. stated that cause of death could not be determined.

1. (i) K, 28 yrs and (ii) M, 31 yrs, both residing at Ecroignard for having on 16.05.12 stolen the ignition key of P/van owned by Mr. S, 35 yrs, Bakery manager, residing at Belle Vue Maurel (Riviere Seche Police).

2. E, 34 yrs, mason, and residing at Olivia for having on 15.05.12 stolen the jewels of his aunt, Mrs. M residing the same yard (Riviere Seche Police).

3. (i) Mr R, 27 yrs, (ii) J, 39 yrs both of residing at DDI dormitory at Ile Dambre and P, 39 yrs, residing at Riv du Rempart, all workers at D factory for having on 03.05.2012 found stolen 64 rolls of fabrics from the abovementioned factory. (Riviere du Rempart Police).

4. J, 32 yrs, General worker, residing at Rodrigues for having found on 17.05.2012 at 0215 hrs, stealing petrol from an a/cycle. (Petit Gabriel Police).
