Les faits divers du 5 février 2012
Des éléments de la station de police de Triolet ont trouvé les corps de deux jeunes âgés entre 21 et 22 ans à la Route Muslim à Pointe Aux Piment. Les services d’uregnce n’ont pu que constaté le décès du plus âgé, un habitant de Roche Bois et le plus jeune a été admis à l’Hopital du Nord. La police a ouvert un enquête pour connaitre les circonstances de l’accident.

La route de Pointe Aux Piments
1. Triolet Police – Fatal Road Accident
On 05.02.2012 at 0600 hrs, one Stephano Adolphe, 22 yrs, residing at Roche Bois and J, 21 yrs, residing at Pointe aux Piments, was found with multiple injuries, lying on the border of Muslim Road, Pointe aux Piments, beside their m/cycle. They were conveyed to SSRN Hospital by SAMU, where the first named was pronounced dead. PMO certified that death was due to shock due to rupture of the spleen. The other victim is admitted and state of health is serious. Facts and circumstances of the case are so far unknown.
2. Piton Police – Serious Road Accident
On 05.02.2012 at 1815 hrs, a M/cycle motoring along Royal Road, L’Esperance Piton knocked against another a/cycle while it swerved to the left. The m/cycle rider, Mr. A, 26 yrs, residing at Riviere du Rempart was seriously injured and is admitted to SSRN ICU. The a/cycle rider, Mr. S, 48 yrs, mason, residing at Piton as well as his pillion rider/son, B, 19 yrs, student were injured, but only the father is admitted. Alcotest carried out on latter revealed to be negative.

3. Abercrombie Police – Larceny
On 05.02.2012 at 1105 hrs, Mr J, 29 yrs, mason, residing at La Cure, reported that 04.02.2012 at about 2200 hrs, he was partaking drinks with his friends along Robert Scott Street, La Cure. Thereupon, two men well known to him, residing at La Cure approached him and following a discussion they stole sum of Rs 20,000/- from his shirt pocket and bolted. He was not injured.

4. Quatre Bornes Police – Fatal Road Accident
On 05.02.2012 at 2100 hrs, a road accident occurred along Vacoas Road, near Carreau Laliane junction, involving a P/car and a m/cycle. The rider, Mr. Toolsysing Parbhoonath, 48 yrs residing at Vacoas was pronounced dead at PMOC Hospital and the pillion rider, A, 28 yrs, residing at Paillotte is admitted. The car driver, Mr. J, 40 yrs, bus driver, residing at Floreal was positively alcootested and is detained. A provisional charge of Involuntary homicide will be lodged against him today. Autopsy over the deceased will be carried out today 06.02.2012.

5. Curepipe Police – Serious Assault (Accused Arrested)
On 06.02.2012 at 0030 hr, Miss J, 18 yrs, maid residing at Curepipe reported that on 05.02.2012 at 2230 hrs, following a family dispute, her cousin, J, 22 yrs, residing at Joachim and two other unknown men assaulted her brother, D, 22 yrs, mason. Latter is admitted to PMOC and his state of health is serious. J has been arrested and is detained.

6. Arrest for Larceny of cars
On 04.02.2012 at 1130 hrs, Police Officers posted at Central division intercepted P/car bearing faked number at Phoenix. The driver, one L, 24 yrs, Moroccan national, of no fixed abode, who was wanted at Grand Baie Police was arrested.
In the course of his interrogation, he confessed having in company of N, 27 yrs, residing at Goodlands and W, 30 yrs, residing at Nicolay Road, Ste Croix stolen several vehicles whose chassis number and engine have been tampered. The following vehicles have been secured from the yard of last named accused:
(i) Mitsubishi, colour dark grey
(ii) Honda, colour grey
(iii) Toyota Vitz
(iv) Honda, colour grey
All the accused are detained
7. Airport Police – Making use of falsified French Passport
On 05.02.2012 at 0740 hrs, Police arrested one A, 24 yrs, Comorian national who was deported from Orly Airport, France for having used a falsified French passport to enter the country. Latter had on 27.01.2012, transited via Mauritius from Comoros to France.
On same day at 0815 hrs, PIO personnel intercepted the following Comorian nationals who were on transit via Mauritius from Comoros to France:
(i) F, 27 yrs,
(ii) F, 41 yrs and
(iii) S, 43 yrs.

1. J, 32 yrs, no calling, residing at Cite Roche Bois for having on 05.02.2012, uttered filthy words to the address of his concubine, Mrs M, 34 yrs, helper and tried to assault her with a sabre. She is the holder of a Protection Order (Roche Bois Police)
